SPACE ACE ADVENTURE - Promo

If you read my recent journal, I'm currently VERY excited about the prospect of making my own adventure game with Adventure Game Studio. I've had a few ideas, but I wasn't sure if I currently have enough skill with the system to pull them off, so I want to do a shorter game that, while it might be crappy, will still be a load of fun.

I hang out on the Progressive Boink forums, and an acquaintance there, Alex, suggested I make a game based on his short story, SPACE ACE ADVENTURE, which is a science fiction story about a hard boiled space bounty hunter. The story is intentionally bad, and has science that, at best, is questionable, and at worst will make you want to scream.

When asked what Ace "Steele" Steel should look like, I was simply linked to a picture of Harrison Ford from Blade Runner, so there you go.

This pic is also the game's resolution, and Ace there is the first sprite I've made. Hopefully I can get him animated and stuff and not go completely mad. The game's backgrounds will be hand drawn too, so I think that this game might not wind up looking too shabby!
